Let's be honest... "treats" are probably not going to be super healthy, unless you're talking fruit or nuts.  I don't know about you, but a handful of raw almonds and a sliced pear does not invoke fond memories of Christmas.  Don't worry!  It is totally possible to take traditional Christmas cookie, candy or baked goods recipes and tweak them to be almost guilt-free.

Here are some amazing healthy Christmas desserts I found on the web and wanted to share.  Just click on the photo (or the link below) to be taken right to the recipe!

And since planning the treats you'll make for the holidays is necessary and fun, I have a cute printable Holiday Baking Planner for you too.  It has space to brainstorm all the cookie, candy and treat recipes you'd love to make this year.  Which, if you're like me, is a long and delicious list!  But then reality must sink in, sadly.  It's time to narrow the list to the recipes you have time to make.  You can include the quantity needed (just in case you're giving some away!) and timeline.

Tip:  Keep this printable so you can use it as a starting point for next year's planning.  (And put a reminder in your calendar to pull it out in November.)

Healthy Christmas Desserts Recipes Roundup

Dark Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Cranberries and dark chocolate are one of my favorite combinations.  Who are we kidding?  Chocolate with anything is always on the top of my list.  Combine that with chewy oats and cinnamon to make a winning combination.   The oatmeal cookies can be made with wheat or gluten-free flour.  Pour your (almond) milk.  This recipe is a keeper.

Healthy Almond and Cinnamon Christmas Stars

My mom had a core list of about six cookies that were always on the menu at Christmas time.  Cinnamon stars was one of them.  Her version was, and still is, delicious, but I love that these Almond and Cinnamon Stars use almond flour and chia seeds to create a crisp, gluten-free cookie.

No Bake Chocolate Gingerbread Truffles

I still remember the first time I made truffles back in the day.  Channeling my inner Martha Stewart in my cramped apartment kitchen, I carefully heated heavy cream and stirred in expensive chocolate.  I rolled the gooey mixture into balls and placed them carefully on cookie sheets.  The next step was simply to let the truffles chill in the refrigerator overnight.  Simple, right?  Unfortunately there was a slight incident between picking up the cookie sheet and opening the refrigerator door.  Let's just say my floor was impeccably clean and the 5 second rule definitely applied.

Don't be clumsy and drop these Chocolate Gingerbread Truffles!  Instead of heavy cream, you'll use coconut cream combined with dates, cashew butter, molasses, chocolate and all sorts of yummy ingredients.  Gluten-free and guilt-free.

Peppermint Fudge No Bake Energy Bites

While I always love chocolate, peppermint is the top of my list when it comes to Christmas flavors.  These Peppermint Fudge No Bake Energy Bites are super simple to make in a food processor, and I love that they are not only gluten-free but also contain healthy raw almonds, dates and coconut oil.   I will definitely hide these from the family!!

Healthy No Bake Eggnog Bars

I have to admit, the photo of these No Bake Eggnog Bars was what attracted me first.  Chewy bars covered with glistening sugar??  The only eggnog I've had so far this year has been a very disappointing low calorie almond milk eggnog.  I'm totally ready to rock these yummy bars.  They are gluten free and have a surprise ingredient - vanilla protein powder.

Paleo Coconut Oil Fudge

I haven't had homemade fudge in years and I can assure you my recipe didn't have coconut oil and almond butter as a base!  Coconut oil is a healthy fat and is so good for you.  This Paleo Coconut Oil Fudge recipe has only five ingredients and takes only five minutes to throw together.  Enjoy... guilt-free!

Soft and Chewy Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies

Thumbprint cookies are one of those Christmas treats everyone expects on the menu.  I love that this version is gluten free, made from almond and coconut flour and has a white chocolate drizzle on top!  (Skip the white chocolate and the cookies are not only grain-free and gluten-free, but dairy-free as well.
