7 Slow Cooker Recipes for the Core de Force Meal Plan

Beachbody likes to keep things simple, so the Core de Force meal plan is a portion control clean-eating meal plan, just like the 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, Hammer & Chisel, and many other  Beachbody workout programs.

This makes it super easy to use your favorite recipes no matter which plan you are following.  And even if you don't follow one of the Beachbody nutrition  plans, these are just good ol' healthy recipes.

Today we're featuring dinner....Just click the links in the title to be taken to the full recipe.

I've covered the gamut of main dish recipes with a beef stir fry, pasta, vegan meatballs, spicy seafood dish, the ultimate comfort food (meatloaf), and everybody's favorite white meat...chicken.

1. Mushroom & White Bean Meatballs (Vegan)

Meatballs are such perfect for any meal plan because they're delicious, easy to make in advance and can be served with a variety of foods.  Use these vegan mushroom and white bean meatballs inside a sandwich, as the base of a soup, serve with pasta or even plate with veggies and mashed potatoes.

This meatball recipe is super versatile because you can bake them in the oven, or use your slow cooker.  I love serving the meatballs for dinner and then adding chicken stock and veggies to make a quick soup and eat for my lunch the next day.

2. Steak Fajitas

These steak fajitas are a great weeknight dinner because you can stir fry the beef and veggies in a flash.  If you like to meal prep, you can make this recipe ahead of time and then just heat and serve with corn tortillas, or throw the steak mixture over a salad for a speedy supper.

3. Chicken and White Bean Chili

I have been making a chicken white bean chili recipe for years and it is one of my all-time favorites.  But the original recipe was not very figure-friendly.  This version is perfect for the Core de Force meal plan, the 21 Day Fix, or any healthy eating plan.  You'll love the zesty addition of green chilies and don't forget the fresh cilantro!

Container Count:

  1/2 GREEN, 1/2 RED, 1-1/2 YELLOW, 1/2 TSP

4. Three Cheese Macaroni Casserole

Who says you can't enjoy comfort food if you're watching your waistline?  This recipe calls for whole wheat pasta, but I'll be substituting gluten free pasta.  You'll find veggies, fresh basil and ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses in this family-pleasing casserole.

5. Shrimp Curry in a Hurry

This flavor-packed meal takes only 15 minutes prep and 6 minutes cooking time!  Perfect for busy weeknights.  The shrimp is cooked in fragrant coconut milk with curry powder, fresh ginger and lime, and a touch of honey.  Like a bit of spice?  Add some red pepper flakes.  Yum!

6.  Power Turkey Meatloaf

Meatloaf is always a kid-pleaser, and this recipe is made from ground turkey with a little salsa as a secret ingredient.  Use whole wheat breadcrumbs (as called for in the recipe) or substitute oats if you want to make it gluten-free like I do!

7.  Burgers with Roasted Garlic and Rosemary

When my kids were younger, I read a book called

The Sneaky Chef

, which was all about how to hide veggies in your kids' meals without them detecting something healthy. You know what?  I still sneak veggies into my family's meals!  These savory burgers have grated zucchini to add moisture and extra nutrition.  With the flavorful roasted garlic and fresh rosemary, the kids (or YOU) won't even notice!

Container Count:

  1 GREEN, 2 YELLOW, 1 RED
